Libby Upton – Biomechanics ‘imove freely’

As a Biomechanics Coach, I am trained in intrinsic biomechanics and will be able to perform a full-body biomechanical screen, establishing any areas of mechanical weakness in you.

I offer Sports Massage which will include a mini Biomechanics Assessment of the pelvis, shoulders and sciatic nerve. The massage will focus on the muscles that are weak, tight or in spasm and you will be prescribed a series of exercises that you can do at home to complement the treatment.

Ma-Shiatsu – Marie Krnakova:

Hot stone Massage*Aromatherapy*Swedish full body massage*Indian Head Massage*Moxibustion*Sports/Remedial full body massage*Hopi ear candle*Chinese Cupping which is an ancient Chinese therapy in which a glass or cup is applied to theskin and the pressure in teh cup is reduced by heat in order to draw and hold skin and superficial muscles inside the cup.  It has been found that cupping affects the body’s tissue up to four inches deep; this causes the tissues to release toxins, clears blockages in the colon, improves stomach ache, indigestion, reduces headaches, hypertension, clears symptoms of common colds, cough, low back pain, painful menstruation and activates the lymphatic system.  Depending on the degree of toxicity in the muscle tissue, treatment will result in either only a slight reddening of the skin for slight toxicity, or a dark red/purple looking bruise for high toxicity.  These will disappear in a few days.  Please visit www.ma-shiatsu.co.uk or please call 07949 453867.

Nottingham Massage - Randy Barber:

Remedial massage, sometimes known as deep tissue or sport massage, is aimed at easing muscular pain and tension and promoting greater flexibility.  It tends to be very focused on specific areas of the body and more directly addresses deep tissues than other forms of massage therapy.  Treatments may be intense, but a skilful therapist will always ensure that any discomfort is within your tolerances.  Randy has many years of experience in this form of bodywork and holds diploma level qualifications.

For those who prefer a gentler approach, Randy is able to offer Bowen Therapy.

Turtle Lodge Healing – Jason Sewell:

The techniques and manipulations used in remedial massage are very effective at relieving many musculo-skeletal problems such as arthritis, joint pain, neck pain, frozen shoulder and knee problems. As a holistic therapy, massage can help release tension in the whole system, bringing the body back into equilibrium and releasing blockages – not just on a physical level, but on an energetic and emotional level as well. Peaceful Butterfly Holistic Therapies – Ele Braithwaite FHT MICHT:

Holistic therapies work on the principal that the body has a vital force or life energy. It is this force that protects the body from disease and allows it to heal. We often refer to it as the “immune system”. When the balance of the immune system is disturbed we see the various symptoms of disease. Holistic therapies aim to help the patient restore the balance, thus allowing the body to heal itself naturally.
Massage treatments available are: Aromatherapy, Cold Stone, Fusion, Lomi Lomi, Fire Cupping, Swedish, Hot Stone, Bamboo. Please feel free to contact me on 07812 597023 or visit my website www.peacefulbutterflyholistictherapies.co.uk
